Willamette Humane Society strives to be a resource for animal owners from birth to the most difficult stage: saying goodbye. Sometimes, the best choice you can make for a pet who is terminally ill, suffering, or so severely injured that he will never lead a normal life is to induce his death quietly and humanely through euthanasia.

Euthanasia Only

While euthanasia services are available through Willamette Humane Society, we recommend you use your regular veterinarian for this service, where you can elect to be present at the time euthanasia services are administered. However, if you choose to use WHS, the euthanasia will be done through injection by caring, trained technicians. Fees for this service depend on the weight of the animal.

  • 0-50 lbs: $25
  • 50-100 lbs: $35
  • 100+ lbs: $50
  • Rodents: $5
  • Small Birds: $5

Cremation Only

Fees for this service depend on the weight of the animal. General cremation includes cost of disposal. Should you select private cremation, your animal’s remains will be returned to you in an urn.
