Volunteer Requirements
- To volunteer at Willamette Humane Society, you must be at least 16 years old, or 12 years old with a trained adult accompanying you. (If you do not meet the minimum age requirement to volunteer at the shelter, you can still help the animals! Download this volunteer activities brochure for ideas of projects you can do offsite to help the animals).
- If you are interested in volunteering, you must first attend a volunteer orientation, held the first Monday (except holidays) and third Thursday of each month.
- After training has been completed, volunteers are asked to make a commitment of two hours per week for six months if you would like to work with animals at the shelter
- There is no minimum requirement to work at one of our two thrift stores.
